Bofin was a banking marketplace, where users could set up and manage bank accounts in locations around the world. The uniqueness of the product required a strong design approach, leading to a fast burst in adoption and great users feedback.
The challenge
In February 2018 I've been contacted by Bofin (a London-based fintech) to provide some consulting for their app that should be launched in a few weeks. They were having bad feedback from their beta-testers and wanted to validate the product experience.
What?? Three menus?! Where do I start?
After a brief review of the project I was convinced that the product couldn't go live with so many problems, it was clear that the whole product needed a full redesign, based on real customer needs.
What started as a small consulting became a job offer and one month later I arrived in London with my wife and my son. Two days later I was leading a team with 20 designers, divided into two countries (UK and India).
