THE
Challenge
In February 2018 I've been contacted by Bofin (a London-based fintech) to provide some consulting for their app that should be launched in a few weeks. They were having bad feedback from their beta-testers and wanted to validate the product experience.

What?? Three menus?! Where do I start?
After a brief review of the project I was convinced that the product couldn't go live with so many problems, it was clear that the whole product needed a full redesign, based on real customer needs.
What started as a small consulting became a job offer and one month later I arrived in London with my wife and my son. Two days later I was leading a team with 15 designers, divided into two countries (UK and India).

NEW APP
concept
After several interviews with stakeholders, clients e potential users, we came up with a completely new experience, totally modular (both design and backend), with features that could be turned on and off every time needed.

BUSINESS
PROFILE
PROFILE
Bofin's app has a particularity: it's both a personal finance app and a business one.
We solved that using an inverted colour profile to show the difference between them (since the app use was pretty much the same).
